Paul Newby visited Cowdenbeath Karate Club in September for 4 days training to prepare the squad for the up and coming trip to Hasslet in Belgium where Cowdenbeath are taking part in the 4 Nation Herckenrode Cup.

Paul conducted various courses over his stay including a boxing and MMA course and a visit to the JKS headquarters in Dunfermline to conduct a Kumite session .

Further classes were held at the Cowdenbeath Centre which covered free sparing and extreme fitness routines.

The classes were well attended and gave a fantastic insight into sparring at the highest level. Paul also brought Chris Riggs with him from the English squad who recently won the gold medal at the BKF British Karate Championships in Meadowbank which added to the high level on instruction given over the weekend.
