Personal Bit

I have been training for 27 years , starting in 1979 at Cowdenbeath Karate Club. I had the honour of taking over as the main instructor in 1989 whilst still training myself under Alex McGreoger and Garry Fleming.

Over the years I have been privileged to have trained with many great Karate Senseis, including Harry Maxwell, Tam Hynd, Ross Frame, Gerry Fleming, Bert and James Ford and Bill Williamson

I then moved the club to the Tei Karate Group under Ross Frame practising sport and knock down karate. As coach to the club great success has been enjoyed by many of the students including the main association titles, Northern Ireland, North East Open, Carlisle tiles and many more.

Cowdenbeath Karate Club is now with Shotokan 2000 under Jim Ford (6th Dan)
