Ross Frame Courses 18th February 2010
Ross Frame, Tei Karate Chief Instructor, visited Cowdenbeath Karate Club last Thurday and conducted two outstanding karate courses. Covering free fighting, knock down and MMA karate, the 45 attendees really enjoyed the fantastic display Ross put on during an intense 2 hours series of courses.
Instructors Gordon Maxwell and Chris Whyte would like to thank Ross for coming through to Cowdenbeath on a terrible wet night at very short notice.
The club now hope to establish a regular training contact with Sensei Frame which can only improve the standard of student at the martial arts centre.
Check out the gallery for some of the photos taken during the course.
History of Cowdenbeath Karate Club
Cowdenbeath Karate Club was founded in 1977 by John Blakely and Tom Hynd.
The clubs first training hall was the former Kirkford Club in Cowdenbeath. After a short period the club moved to the old scout hall and then to Beath High School in 1980. It was at this point that 2 new members joined that would be significant to the clubs future, Harry and Gordon Maxwell.
Later Harry Maxwell left to live in Spain and another brother Neil Maxwell joined.
